The main shrine of the Temple has the idol of Varaha (Adhi Varaha Perumal) Lord Varaha is in standing position, holding the goddess Lakshmi on his left side. As per a legend, Lord married 360 daughters of sage Klava and hence he got the name of Nithyakalyana Perumal Which means the Lord who got married daily in tamil language. All the three sixty united into one name and named as Lakshmi, as per the legend. There is also a belief that if unmarried men and women visit this temple and pray to God, they get married soon. My friends, here in this story a pig with human body entertained 360 girls each and every day. It is not a moral habit for a God. Even though a God, he enjoyed many number of  girls day by day. But in the case of devotees or followers of God don't pick up many girls and they get marry only one girl in their life. What a improper law it is! Hey devotees!
