GOD HAIR KING PERUMAL- A COMEDY IMAGINATION!

A temple namely Sowriraja perumal Devasthanam at Thirukkannapuram, Nagapattinam district, Tamilnadu, India. The name of the God and a story about the name is very different. There's a small story regarding the name of Sowrirajan. Once upon a time, lots of flowers were sent to the temple for pooja ( prayer ) from the palace of the king. But it didn't reach the God directly instead it was sold. The king came to knew this and tried to know the truth by a surprise visit. Knowing this fact the archagar (priest)  Ranga Bhattar arranged for a garland quickly and put it upon the God. The priest had illegal female contact in night times. On that time he garlanded and decorated the step wife with God's garland. Next morning the same Garland was put upon the God. When the king came to visit the temple, he found a strand of  hair in the garland and started enquiring about that. Ranga Bhattar was shocked and pleaded God to save him. Bhattar lied the king it was God's hair. But the king was not satisfied. When the king came again for inspection God showed his long plait (a bunch of hair). The king was convinced. Hence forth from that incident the God also called Sowri Rajan ( sowri - hair, Rajan -king), that's why we called Hair King Perumal. The Hair King perumal has four wives namely sridevi, bhoodevi, Padmini (kannapura thayar), Mahalakshmi and a step wife of fisherman community. My Friends what a morality in this God and in his Name. The people discover various imaginary story to spread the God. But we don't accept this. Away from God and there is No God. Relax!
